About this Event
Bees are important pollinators of food crops and wild flowering plants. While honeybees are usually what come to mind when designing a landscape for pollinators, they are only one of about 320 bee species in Florida.
In this class, explore some of the different kinds of bees you might encounter in the local landscape, ways you can welcome them to your home garden, and how to help protect them from emerging threats.
Instructor:
- Forest Hecker, Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Community Educator, UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County
