Flow Fests is teaming up with Fun in Motion Toys to present Master Classes during the day on Saturday, January 13.Circus Playground- Pole, Cyr & Aerial Hammock
1pm - Intro to Pole with Ashley Neptune
Intro to Pole: Try your hand at some basic spins, climbing and even inverting and at the end we will put them all together into a fun sexy choreography. This class is geared towards beginners and intermediate students and can be catered to all levels.
2:45pm - Intro to Cyr Wheel with Gaby Rosa
Cyr wheel is a unique circus apparatus that combines elements of dance, gymnastics and theater.In this intro course we will go over everything students need to know to get started on their Cyr Wheel journey. Learn the basics: We’ll go over what a Cyr Wheel is, how to find the right wheel for you, where to practice, and where to get one. Conditioning: We’ll talk about some basic strength and flexibility exercises that can help prepare and strengthen our bodies for Cyr wheel training and how to maintain our muscles to optimize our training. Getting on the wheel: We’ll practice off wheel and off wheel manipulations and the fundamental waltz where you ‘ll learn how to spin on the wheel. We’ll have wheels available or bring your own if you have one. The workshop is perfect for anyone who’s been eager to try Cyr wheel but doesn't know where to begin, or anyone who is getting started and wants to accelerate their learning!
4:30pm - Intro to Aerial Hammock with Ashley Neptune
Aerial hammock: welcome to the world of aerial yoga infused with circus tricks! After a nice stretch we will be trying some fun poses and combos. Open to all levels.
**CAN BE BUNDLED with First Light- Fire Dance Community Class**
All workshops will take place at the Fun in Motion Toys HQ aka Flowspace East
Ashley Neptune is south Florida’s unique aerial apparatus specialist. She has been teaching and performing aerial acrobatics worldwide specializing in lyra, pole, silk and many unique apps such as chain, moon, anchor net and many more. She is also a led/fire dancer and stilt dancer as well as professional mermaid. Ashley has been teaching and performing for over 10 years.

Gaby Rosa began her flow arts journey 9 years ago with a contact staff down the rabbit hole of flow arts she found her passion for Cyr wheel, fire photography, performance and movement arts. She believes that the world of movement arts is a gateway to self-discovery and personal growth. Through all her practices she aims to help other find, hone, and share their passions.
