Join the community on Saturday, June 6th from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm for Flora’s Walk for Perinatal Mental Health at the Beaconsfield Carriage House, 2 Kent Street, Charlottetown.
Flora’s Walk raises funds and awareness for timely perinatal mental health care in Canada. Seventy percent of proceeds raised will stay in PEI to support Family Service PEI’s counselling programs for new parents, while the remaining funds will support national initiatives.
The Charlottetown event will include opening remarks, refreshments, a stroller-friendly walk (under 2 km), and a door prize/gift basket draw. The event will take place rain or shine, with indoor activities planned.
Flora’s Walk is a national campaign taking place in more than 50 cities across Canada. Named in memory of Flora, who died from undiagnosed postpartum psychosis two months after the birth of her daughter. The walk aims to raise awareness, reduce stigma, bring together community, and connect families to available support.
No matter your story—whether you are a mom, a parent, just starting out, have faced challenges, have supported someone close, or want to stand in solidarity—your presence is valued and vital. This event is open to everyone, and children are welcome to attend!
