About this Event
Join us for a series of experiences to cultivate community within the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco.
Kayla Binnquist, florist and YWAM SF staff member, will be leading participants to craft your own seasonal floral arrangements.
Your ticket will enable a friend in the Tenderloin to participate in the session and explore a career in the floral industry.
Schedule
10:00 AM - Intro & Vase Preparation
Kayla will give a basic overview of seasonal flowers and introduce vase styles. Then participants will craft their own vase with a surprise ingredient.
10:30 AM - Design Principles, Tools & Care
Kayla will go over basic principles of floral arrangements, focusing on form, color, texture. Then she will introduce the tools that participants will use to craft their arrangements, and share how to best care for the flowers.
11:00 AM - Craft Your Own Fall Floral Arrangement
Kayla will walk participants through each stage of the arrangement process. Participants can fully unleash their creativity with a selection of flowers to work with. We will culminate with a photo shoot.
Tickets include a floral arrangement, your own set of tools, coffee and snacks -- for you and for a member of our community in the Tenderloin.

It is a part of Restoration Initiatives' 360 program, which is a discipleship-driven, trauma-informed, community-based program to restore power to the poor and the marginalized in the Tenderloin.
