Plan ahead to join a great day on the James River. The float can last up to 6 hours so bring food and beverages. The time of the float is dependent upon pit stops and the speed of the river. Arrive extra early to carpool with friends to take vehicles to the take out spot at Joshua Falls. Arrive at Riveredge Park which is the put-in on the Amherst side of the James River by 8:30 for launch at 9am.
