Last year we tried something new: We hosted our very first float-building workshop, and we've had requests for another one! Don't be misled by the word "float" - this will apply to large floats, small floats, decorated vehicles, golf carts, and more. We’ll have some “experts” on hand – some of the hard-working volunteers from some of our krewes – to share their tips, methods, resources, and ideas with you. Just show up, see what you learn, and go from there. Gather your friends (it’s always more fun to do this with people you love hanging with), and come join us. You don’t need any supplies, or even to know for sure if you want to build a float… and it’s free!
This will be held in a small classroom in Central’s Activity Center building (thank you CUMC!). The CAC building is the center building when you enter the parking lot from Highland, and the classroom we will use for the workshop is on the east side of the large fellowship hall in the center.
