Benjamin Walsh opens The Library doors at PLAYGROUNDWelcome to The Library , our brand-new indoor hideaway, where whissspers transform and the vibe is anything but quiet.
Benjamin Walsh, a local drumming maverick, is bringing FLIPSIDE to life, a club night born from a love of live percussion, showcasing beats and electronic production from all over the globe. A night of eclectic grooves, otherworldly dance floor rhythms and global electronic grooves.
An amalgamation of live percussion and DJ, he celebrates 20 years of this style of club night with long time friend and collaborator FUTURE ROOTS.
Back in the early days of Sydney electronic scene down in a smoky bar in Kings Cross.. Benjamin's club night "GROOVELANDS" rocked the dance floors of a club called CANDY'S APARTMENT. Nui Moon aka FUTURE ROOTS was one of the many percussionists that would join.
They relive the same electricity as 2 established producers and percussionists 2 decades later.
Playing back to back and unearthing some of the most interesting rhythmic beats from the far corners of the globe.
Doors open at 8pm, and we’re going late.
