ZERO DISCOUNT channel the raw pulse of Berlin’s underground with a sound that’s equal parts post-punk and hypnotic noise groove. There’s a tension in their set—a kind of beautiful claustrophobia—that pulls you in and doesn’t let go, like dancing through static in a concrete basement.
This is music for those who crave intensity with precision, chaos with control. Whether you’re a devotee of the darker corners of punk or just searching for something that hits different, ZERO DISCOUNT will leave you buzzing. No gloss, no gimmicks—just a sonic jolt straight to the chest, echoing long after the last note.

CASINO GARDEN was founded in 2017 in Wuppertal by singer and guitarist Matthias Ballke (born Wiercinski), keyboardist Helene Ballke, bassist Oliver Kroker, and drummer Alexander Alaimo Di Loro. In 2018, their debut album SLIDE was released, which, despite being a low-budget production, gained significant recognition within the underground shoegaze scene worldwide. This led to the American indie label Custom Made Music taking notice of the Wuppertal-based band and releasing the album on cassette.
The following year, their second album, GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER, was released, showcasing a strong alternative rock influence. It was also released through Custom Made Music and earned the title "Demo of the Month" by VISIONS. During the pandemic, they followed up with their third album, OLIVER OLIVER, in 2021, this time under the British indie label Shore Dive Records. The consistently positive reviews from critics paved the way for promising concerts: even in challenging times for small bands, the shoegazers managed to fill their band fund and secure new partners for their next album.
Their fourth album, TRANSITION, mixed by Jo Philippi (Vandermeer) and mastered by Schall und Wahn Studios, marks a turning point in the band’s history.

HUMAN GATE is a Berlin-based, all-female band originally from China. Blending industrial rock, darkwave, noise, and post-punk, they create raw, emotional soundscapes with gritty textures and haunting vocals. Their music delves into themes of isolation, resistance, and transformation, channeling a fiercely underground spirit. Atmospheric, unfiltered, and unapologetic, Human Gate carves out a bold, unconventional identity in the experimental music scene.

FLINTA* IM KIEZ is a monthly concert series organized by MY PEOPLE BOOKING in Berlin, aimed at providing a platform for underrepresented musicians in the city’s alternative rock and punk scenes.
The series specifically focuses on FLINTA* (women*, lesbians, inter people, non-binary people, trans people, and agender people) artists who often face challenges in spaces dominated by cisgender male musicians. By offering a stage to these artists, the project works to disrupt the dominance of privileged voices in the alternative music scene and ensure that diverse perspectives are given visibility.
The concert series will take place across Berlin, ensuring that it reaches different communities and supports the city's rich underground music culture. The initiative also responds to the struggles faced by small venues, which have been hit by rising costs and economic downturns.
By highlighting local talent and providing a space for FLINTA* musicians, the concert series creates an important cultural environment that nurtures new artists and fosters community support.
Additionally, FLINTA* IM KIEZ will implement sliding scale pricing for tickets, making these events more accessible to a wider range of people, particularly those from marginalized communities such as FLINTA*, BIPoC, and individuals with migration experiences.
This approach ensures that everyone, regardless of income, has the opportunity to experience and enjoy underground music. With a focus on diversity and inclusion, the series strives to build a more equitable cultural landscape for both artists and audiences.
The concert series is made possible in part by the support of MusicBoard Berlin, as part of the POP IM KIEZ funding programme, without which this project would not be possible.
