A short demonstration of the techniques used in Irish prehistory to manufacture stone tools, what the tools were used for. Finished replicas will be shown to demonstrate what we are missing from the archaeological record.
Museum staff will be there to respond to questions about these objects and also if any member of the public may have an object that they think could be archaeological we will talk them through what they are required to do.
Our team will have a stand in the "Culture, Communications, Archaeology and Sports" marquee at the National Ploughing Championship in Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly Tuesday 16th to Thursday 18th.
