Zhisheng Wang is a pianist and current doctoral student at the University of Cincinnati College–Conservatory of Music. He previously earned his Master of Music in Piano Performance and Piano Chamber Music from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, and his Bachelor of Music from the Manhattan School of Music.
Zhisheng has been recognized in numerous competitions, earning first prize at the WPTA Finland International Piano Competition, Charleston Music Competition, and Music International Grand Prix. His additional honors include second prize at the MTNA–Steinway Young Artist Piano Competition (Michigan Division) and the Zhongsin International Piano Competition in Singapore, as well as third prize at the Bellagrande International Music Competition. He has also been invited to many prestigious summer festivals, including the Aspen Music Festival and School, Bowdoin International Music Festival, Mozarteum Summer Academy, Gijón International Piano Festival, Washington International Piano Festival, BIMFA Beijing International Music Festival, and the Sichuan Conservatory International Piano Festival.
Zhisheng has performed in renowned venues such as the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., Renmin University Concert Hall in Beijing, and the Sichuan Conservatory Main Concert Hall in Chengdu. He has also given solo recitals in Chicago and Gijón, Spain. He has worked closely with distinguished artists including Andrzej Jasiński, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Hung-Kuan Chen, Mikhail Voskresensky, and Jerome Lowenthal. Zhisheng Wang currently studies with Sara Daneshpour at University of Cincinnati.

Yu-Ting Chiu is a Taiwanese violinist with a strong background in performance and teaching. She began playing the violin at the age of eight and has since developed into a well-rounded musician active in solo, chamber, and orchestral music. She received her Master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and is currently pursuing her Doctoral degree under the guidance of violinist and pedagogue Kurt Sassmannshaus.
At sixteen, Yu-Ting made her first appearance as a soloist, performing Pablo de Sarasate’s Zigeunerweisen with the Hualien Phonon Orchestra. Over the years, she has performed in many different settings and has built a wide range of performance experience. Her musical journey has taken her to Taiwan, China, the United States, Germany, and Austria, where she has appeared in both solo and ensemble concerts. She enjoys sharing music with audiences through her expressive playing and solid technique.
Yu-Ting is currently a violist and librarian with the Starling Chamber Orchestra. Alongside performing, she is a dedicated teacher with eight years of teaching experience. She teaches violin and piano at both the Cincinnati School of Music and Cincinnati Strings, working with students of various ages and levels. Her teaching style focuses on building strong fundamentals, encouraging healthy practice habits, and helping students discover their own musical voice.
Through both performing and teaching, Yu-Ting hopes to inspire others and share the joy and emotional power of music.
