Flight Path is an 8-week, semester-based workshop designed to build the core foundations of shibari floor play and building up to your first partial suspension. A partial suspension is a type of suspension where the majority of the bodies mass is still securely grounded. Starting with floor play, students will progress to Level 1 proficiency in partial suspensions. Along the way, participants will explore shibari history, adapt techniques for various body types and scenarios, and master essential knots, harnesses, and rope-handling skills. By the end of the semester, you’ll feel confident and well-prepared to expand your shibari journey. Saturdays, 12-3pm 3/29- 5/24
Week 1: March 29th – Introduction to floor play
Week 2: April 5th – Intro to T.K. I & II, Gunslinger
Break: April 12th (No Class)
Week 3: April 19th – T.K. III, Drum Harness
Week 4: April 26th – Introduction to hardpoints & uplines
Week 5: May 3rd – Basic nerve safety, Your First Partial
Week 6: May 10th – Guided Partials
Week 7: May 17th – Partials & Creating Scenes
Week 8: May 24th – Final Exam + Rope Jam Celebration
