Join us for Flight of Fancy. With a “nod” to Mrs. Astor’s annual Gilded Age Ball, Flight of Fancy will be a highly anticipated social event, with a contemporary and unpretentious twist. Light-hearted and whimsical, Flight of Fancy promises to be an evening of enchantment and glamour. A Gilded Age-inspired theme and decor are being developed by local creatives. The evening will include food and drinks, live music, revelry, dancing, and a few surprises. Our guests are encouraged to dress in gilded age era inspired attire including elegant formal wear, fantastical costumes, apparel of gilded age staff or anything that suits your fancy!
Live music will be performed by The Worcester Jazz Collective.
Hearty hors d'oeuvres will be provided by Struck Catering.
Dessert will be provided by The Queen's Cups.
Flight of Fancy gives Preservation Worcester the honor of sharing our magnificent new headquarters with the public and the opportunity of creating a glamorous gathering befitting a party of the Salisbury family. Built for Stephen Salisbury II (1836-1838), Salisbury House was also the home of Stephen Salisbury III. The festivities will be held in the grand double parlor and adjoining spectacularly decorated, heated marquee.
