Flexcar 2022 Hackathon

Flexcar is inviting you to join us in a weekend of building and collaborating with the goal of challenging the concept of car ownership. You will focus on ideas that enable people to have any car of their preference all to themselves for an extended period of time -- all without dealing with the hassle of owning it, like maintenance, insurance, or long-term commitments. Not everyone who wants this kind of flexibility are the same. Some people want to try out an electric vehicle for the first time. Some people want the freedom to do things that they enjoy in their spare time. Others need the car to go about their lives every day. Challenging car ownership means being able to accommodate all of that, and more!

Whether you are just starting to build, or you have been building for a long time, this event is for you. There will be Flexcar team members throughout the event that will be able to provide feedback and ask questions. There will also be educational sessions to help people who are new to different technologies get started.

Awards will be presented to the best project in the following categories: Sustainability, Flexibility, and Reliability.

What to bring, required:

• Laptop
• Laptop Charger
• Government ID (driver’s license, state ID, passport)

Recommended:

• Mouse - Mouse charger/spare batteries
• Headphones (noise cancelation can be helpful)
• Phone charger and cable
• Backpack
• Notebook/paper and a pen/pencil
• Sweatshirt/Jacket if it gets cold
