It’s $15 cash at the door and we ask that you only RSVP if you’re sure you can attend as we have limited spots.
Trauma doesn’t disappear when k!nk begins - it comes with us into the scene, into the body, into power exchange. This class explores how trauma lives in the nervous system and how it can quietly shape desire, submission, dominance, fear, arousal, and attachment.
Forrest returns to unpack the difference between trauma reenactment and intentional play, how triggers actually function in k!nk spaces, and why “consensual” isn’t always the same as “safe” or “integrated.” We’ll examine common trauma patterns that show up in kink dynamics - freeze responses, fawning, dissociation, compulsive intensity - and how to recognize them in ourselves and others without shame.
This is not a class about avoiding edge or making k!nk sterile. It’s about precision. About wielding power with awareness. About knowing when kink is healing, when it’s destabilizing, and how to tell the difference.
Topics include:
- How trauma reshapes arousal and power dynamics
- The nervous system in scenes (fight, flight, freeze, fawn)
- Red flags for trauma-driven play vs. chosen desire
- Negotiation beyond checklists
- Grounding, aftercare, and repair when things go sideways
This class is suitable for dominants, submissives, switches, educators, and performers who want depth, not platitudes, and who believe kink deserves intention, not avoidance.
We’re also beyond excited to continue our partnership with Out of Bounds, our favorite local, LGBTQ+ owned and operated adult store. If you attend this class, you'll have some shopping time afterwards and you'll get 10% off your purchase! Out of Bounds isn’t just a shop - they’re a pillar of our local k!nk and queer communities. They create a space that’s welcoming, inclusive, and judgment-free, offering not only high-quality toys and gear, but education, advocacy, and genuine care for the people they serve.
Their values line up perfectly with ours: safety, consent, authenticity, and community. Together, we’re building spaces where people can learn, explore, and connect without shame, without pressure, and always with intention. We’re proud to have them as partners in this series, and even prouder to support a business that puts so much love back into the community it serves.
Come learn, explore, and grow with LustBound!
