With roots in the revolutionary 1960s London-based blues movement, the original Fleetwood Mac was formed and recognized as a respectable British blues band. However, it would be the later inclusion of the American folk rock duo Buckingham Nicks that would transform the ensemble into the legendary act that earned international acclaim combining the folk and rock elements into an unique but commercially popular sound.
