Flavors of Albany Park Restaurant Crawl 2021

We are excited to bring back Flavors of Albany Park on Thursday, August 26th, and support our diverse local restaurants. Join us in celebrating #GlobalRootsLocalHeart with the event of the summer!!!

Experience the diverse, international cultures, and cuisines by tasting the delicious "Flavors of Albany Park" at our neighborhood restaurant crawl on Thursday, August 26th, from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm. Albany Park is "Chicago's Gateway to the World" reflected by the diverse ethnic cuisines from 40+ participating restaurants. 

SAFETY considerations: Flavors is an outdoor event, but per the City's mask mandate-Masks are REQUIRED when indoors. You will need them for waiting in a short line or when you step inside a restaurant to pick up your sample. Flavors will follow CDC, Chicago Department of Public Health, and Illinois Department of Public Health COVID19 guidelines.

Flavors of Albany Park explores the depth and diversity of global cuisines across THREE routes. The choice is yours! Attendees receive a "passport" as their ticket and route guide to taste sample-sized portions of culinary delights from local restaurants along: 1) Lawrence/Kimball , 2) SOLD OUT-Kedzie or 3) Montrose Avenues. Restaurants will offer a sample of their food, a sweet treat, or a unique drink to all attendees.

FLAVORS TICKETS: Tickets are $30 for adults, $12 for kids (12 and under), $25 for students (with valid ID, includes university),  $25 for seniors (60+). Tickets are an additional $5 on the day of the event. Tickets are limited on each route. Flavors sold out in 2018 and 2019, so buy your tickets today!

Flavors of Albany Park takes place outside rain or shine. No refunds.

ROUTE OPTIONS: Pick between 2 routes 1) Lawrence/Kimball, or 2) Montrose. The Kedzie Route has SOLD OUT!

Check-in for all routes is at Noon-O-Kabab, 4701 N Kedzie Ave. Check-in opens at 5:00pm. Also, Noon-O-Kabab will have your first "taste" to get you started!

VEGETARIAN? Restaurants choose their food item(s) to serve. We encourage them to provide a veggie option, but it's not required. Generally, the Kedzie and Montrose routes are the more veggie-friendly based on past years.

¡Acompáñenos a celebrar a Albany Park #GlobalRootsLocalHeart con el tour gastronómico Flavors of Albany Park el día jueves, 26 de agosto de 5:00 pm a 8:00 pm. Pruebe diferentes tipos de cocina de todo el mundo de los más de 40 restaurantes participantes.

Este evento seguirá las normas de la CDC, el Departamento de Salud Pública de Chicago y del Departamento de Salud Pública de Illinois. Flavors es un evento al aire libre, pero se REQUIERE que las máscaras se usen en interiores según el nuevo mandato de máscaras de la Ciudad. Las necesitará para esperar en una línea corta o cuando entre a un restaurante para recoger su muestra.

Usted puede escoger una de dos rutas: 1) Lawrence/Kimball o 2) Montrose Avenues. La Ruta Kedzie se a agotado! Su boleto será un "pasaporte" que le enseñará su ruta para probar pequeñas muestras del platillo estrella de cada restaurante. Las muestras pueden ser bocaditos, postres o una bebida que harán que quiera regresar a por más! Este evento tomará lugar incluso con lluvia y no habrán devoluciones.

BOLETOS: adultos $30, niños $12 (menores de 12), estudiantes $25 (con carnet estudiantil, incluye universitario), tercera edad $25 (60+). El día del evento los boletos costarán $5 más. Cada ruta tendrá un número limitado de boletos, así que no espere a comprarlos!

El registro para todas las rutas será en Noon-O-Kabab, 4701 N Kedzie Ave, a las 5:00 pm, en donde recibirá su "pasaporte" y la primera muestra para empezar su tour! El registro estará abierto de 5:00 a 7:00, pero intente llegar temprano para que tenga más tiempo de disfrutar las delicias de Albany Park.

¿Vegetariano/a? Cada restaurante escoge las muestras que ofrecerán. Nosotros les aconsejamos que brinden opciones vegetarianas, pero no están obligados a hacerlo.

End the evening at the free Flavors After-Party, which is also the 4th Lot Jams show, hosted by Surge Coffee Bar + Billiards, 3241 W Montrose. The parking lot next to Surge will have a live band playing from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The live band after-party is dependent on the weather, so we will take the party inside Surge if it rains.

Band info: The Luna Blues Machine is a Chicago-based acoustic hip-hop, Latin, folk-soul band fronted by sisters Belinda and Maritza Cervantes. Founded in 2001, the LBM first started performing at Subterranean's Open Mic Night, cultivating their own unique sound. Today The Luna Blues Machine continues to be a staple in Chicago's music scene. Their timeless music attracts new fans and keeps old fans coming back for more.

Termine su velada asistiendo al cuarto concierto de Lot Jams, en el parqueadero de Surge Coffee Bar + Billiards, 3241 W Montrose de 7:00 pm a 9:00 pm. La banda invitada es The Luna Blues Machine, una banda de Chicago de música hip-hop, latina, folk y soul, liderada por las hermanas Belinda y Maritza Cervantez. Esta banda se inició en el 2001, tocando en Subterranean's Open Mic Night y ahora continúa siendo un icono en la música Chicago.

On the day of Flavors, you will pick up your route-specific passport at Noon-O-Kabab, 4701 N Kedzie, steps from the Kedzie Brown Line L Station. Check-in begins at 5:00 pm and the last check- in is at 7:00 pm.

Flavors begins at 5:00 pm and ends at 8:00 pm. Wander your route and enjoy local bites until 8:00 pm. When you're ready, go to Surge Coffee Bar & Billiards, 3241 W Montrose, to enjoy the FREE after-party with live music in the parking lot.
