Flash Fundamentals: Controlling Your Light with Westcott

Many photographers avoid using flash due to fear and uncertainty. How does it work? What do the settings mean? How do you control exposure with it? In this class, we will demystify flash photography by teaching you how to properly expose your images and control your lighting. You’ll also have dedicated shooting time to practice using flash in a hands-on environment. Bring your camera!

9:30am-10am:

• A presentation on flash and lighting fundamentals

10am-11am:

Hands on Expereince: A fully demonstrated lighting setup with a model

• Single and Multi-Light Flash Setup: Each participant will get the hands-on opportunity to photograph the model in each lighting setup.

Please come prepared with a fully charged camera, lens, and memory card.
