***Twin Cities Flamenco Collective invites the Twin Cities Argentine Tango community to celebrate the convergence of two beautiful art forms, Flamenco and Tango. Bridging the two worlds is guest flamenco guitarist Scott Mateo Davies, founder and musical director of ROGUE TANGO, a four-person ensemble dedicated to impassioned interpretations of Argentine Tangos, past and present. Singer and percussionist Rachel Milloy will return to perform with both groups.***

**Scott Mateo Davies** has a five decade career of guitar performance, embracing many genres, including flamenco, classical, tango, jazz, and pop. Following twelve years as lead singer/guitarist of the nationally recognized pop group, The Rogues, he relocated to Madrid, Spain and began retraining as a flamenco guitarist. His teachers include Aquilino Jimenez "El Entri," David Serva, and Felipe Maya. He has performed with some of the great flamenco artists, including Manolete (Granada), and Cuca de Grana, Jose Barrios, and Chele de Cadiz.
Davies began studying Argentine tango in 2005, spending time in Buenos Aires. He became featured guitarist in various productions of Astor Piazzolla’s opera: Maria de Buenos Aires, both with the Theatre Jeune Lune and the Des Moines Opera. He performed with Mandragora Tango for 8 years, subsequently forming his own tango group, Rogue Tango. Davies has recorded numerous CDs, which are available at scottmateo.com.
**Rachel Milloy** has studied and performed many styles of world music including flamenco, Balkan Romani, Arabic, Indian, Afghan, and Argentine music. She studied flamenco vocals with the late and great Elena 'La Cordobesa' and Jesus Montoya, among others. She currently performs with Yalla Drum Ensemble and the Macalester Middle Eastern Music Ensemble.
