Flamenco de Leeds and Flamenco Nights have joined forces to present ‘Aflamenkao´ by award winning Juan Carlos Avecilla Flamenco Company on Sunday 1st December 2024 at Instituto Cervantes Manchester.

AFLAMENKAO is a show that captures the entire essence of Spanish dance. The work is inspired by some of the different styles of dance: bolero school, stylized dance and flamenco. Three styles and three ways of feeling will come together on stage through two dancers and two musicians.

• Juan Carlos Avecilla – A renowned flamenco dancer and choreographer, Juan Carlos is celebrated for his bold and innovative work. With performances across Spain and internationally, his productions like Tic Tac Toe and Pasaje have earned multiple nominations for the prestigious Max Awards. Juan Carlos’s expressive style and technical brilliance will leave you spellbound.

• Marta Galvez – Born in Córdoba, Marta started her flamenco journey at the age of 3. She’s a rising star, performing with prestigious companies such as the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía. Recently awarded First Prize for Young Flamencos by the Provincial Council of Córdoba, Marta’s performances are a beautiful blend of grace and intensity.

• Mónica García – A London-based flamenco singer, Mónica brings a deep, soulful voice that captures the emotional heart of flamenco. Her performances with various flamenco companies have transported audiences to the essence of Andalusia, making her one of the most sought-after flamenco vocalists in the UK.

• Adrián Sola – A talented flamenco guitarist from Barcelona, Adrián is known for his mastery of the instrument and his ability to blend traditional and modern flamenco. He regularly performs at top venues across Europe and is currently the musical director for the Lourdes Fernandez Flamenco Company.
