Flamenco on the Prairies - at Lady of the Lake

Come on a trip to Spain with us! Members of the flamenco class at Brandon School of Dance went to Spain this summer. Dancing in beautiful hand sewn costumes, the show will use traditional music of flamenco, and the vocal combinations of Arabic tone and Jewish/Spanish influences. 10 dancers, 2 singers, 1 accordian, 1 guitar come together to take you away to another land.
Experience beautiful arms that elegantly curve, and hands that are reminiscent of belly dance while mixed with powerful explosive footwork and body percussion that drums out complex rhythms. Some recorded music from Spain will be used as well as some live flamenco singing/guitar.
Guest performers Ester and Carlos are a husband wife team from El Salvador singing Spanish and English covers.
