We are delighted to welcome back Pilar Ogalla and Andrés Peña to Manchester in December 2025, after great feedback from their last visit!

6 to 7.30pm Friday 5 December - Palmas (single class)
✨Palmas for Bulerías✨
Open level workshop
Accompaniment of bulerías for cante and baile, with a focus on rhythm, structure and practical application. Suitable for dancers, guitarists, singers, percussionists and flamenco enthusiasts. Study materials provided.
10am to 2pm Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 December - Dance (two-day courses)

Choreography, Improver level
For dancers with a foundation in flamenco looking to develop musicality, flow and body control.
✨Bulerías de Cádiz✨
Choreography, Lower Intermediate level
Focus on rhythm, structure and the playful character of Cádiz-style bulerías.
✨Abandalaos✨
Choreography, Intermediate level
Derived from the fandangos, enormous fun to dance with a lively rhythm. For dancers wanting to connect more deeply with the vocal lines and refine their phrasing.

This fantastic partnership has delighted audiences at international festivals around the world. Andrés from Jerez de la Frontera and Pilar from Cádiz have presented acclaimed shows over many years, both as soloists and together, winning numerous awards including 'audience favourite' at the international Festival de Jerez. They are also an experienced teaching team. Pilar has her own dance school in Cádiz, taking students from beginner to professional level, and both have regular invitations to teach in national and international flamenco schools. They are also co-directors of the Ballet Flamenco de Cádiz. In great demand, they will deliver three courses over next year’s Festival of Jerez, all the places were sold out within an hour - the Polo course with Andrés within six minutes of going on sale. They are excellent singers, making their classes very enjoyable and giving a great opportunity to learn.
