FULL FLAMENCO EXPERIENCE IN MADRID 29th, 30th April & 1st May (Bank Holiday).
By popular demand, I have organised a full Flamenco Weekend at two levels (elementary and advanced) in the world famous Amor de Dios Flamenco school in Madrid. The course will take place over 3 days and be taught by both me and the extraordinary Carmen La Talegona who comes from a well-known and established flamenco family in Cordoba (you can read more about her below).
Please note that I will need to limit the number of people in the studio so you will need to book early to secure your place.
If you book your flight and accommodation now, you'll find it's cheaper than if you leave it for later – but please check with me first to make sure you have a place!

Improvers and Elementary Level
11.00-12.30: Technique with GEMMA DE LA CRUZ
12.30-14.00: Bulerias with GEMMA DE LA CRUZ
Technique & Bulerias 160 euros / 3 hours a day over 3 days
Intermediate and Advanced Level
15.00-16.00: Bulerias with GEMMA DE LA CRUZ
16.00-18.00: Technique and Choreography with CARMEN LA TALEGONA
Bulerias 50 euros / 1 hour a day over 3 days
Technique & Choreography 150 euros / 2 hours a day over 3 days with Carmen
Bulerias, Technique & Choreography 190 euros / 3 hours a day over 3 days

THE STUDIO
All Flamencos love Amor de Dios. It’s a flamenco haven and famous all over the world. It’s also conveniently placed in the very heart of Madrid with lots of hotels, restaurants, flamenco shops and other facilities nearby.

THE TEACHERS
CARMEN LA TALEGONA
Carmen was born in Cordoba as part of a well-known and established flamenco family and she studied in the Conservatorio in Cordoba. Her first dancing experience was with Javier Latorre!
Since the age of fourteen she has shared the stage with Jose Merce, La Macanita, Chano Lobato, El Pele, to name just a few. She has also performed regularly in many different tablaos such as: 'El Cordobes' in Barcelona, 'Casa Patas', 'Sala Caracol', 'Cafe de Chinitas' and 'Corral de la Pacheca' in Madrid.
Carmen has collaborated in various projects and companies: as a soloist in 'Pura Pasion' with Rafaela Carrasco, Maria Juncal and Lola Greco, in 'La Pasion de Cristo' with Juan Andres Maya, in 'Princesas del Flamenco' with Rafael Amargo y La Lupi, in 'Maestros' with El Guito, as a guest artist in 'Maya' with Jose Maya, in 'Maneras de Sentir' with Inmaculada Ortega, in 'Miroterraneo' with Antonio Canales, as a soloist in 'Flamencura' with Paco Peña, in 'Mente, Corazon y Tacon' with El Mistela and in 'Bailaoras, el nuevo tiempo' with Angel Rojas. She currently performs in 'Sevilla a compas' with Antonio Canales.
She has developed her style and creativity in her own shows: 'Talegoneando', 'Gesto Flamenco' and 'Oro Molido' with great audience and critics’ success. She was in the finals as best flamenco dancer 2011 in the 'Flamenco Hoy' awards.
Carmen has taught in the Fundacion Conservatorio Casa Patas, in Amor de Dios in Madrid and in Centro Superior de Estudios del Flamenco Uflamenco.

GEMMA DE LA CRUZ
Gemma is from Madrid and started her dance studies at the age of ten. She trained at the Real Conservatorio de Madrid and afterwards at the famous flamenco school in Madrid ‘Amor de Dios’.
She has danced in many tablaos and performed in theatres in Madrid such as Teatro Barcelo, Teatro Plaza de la Villa, Teatro Español and Teatro de la Zarzuela. She has also performed in London at the Royal Albert Hall and The Barbican. She was also one of the main dancers at ‘Carmen’ performed at the Royal Opera House in London, directed by Nuria Espert and choreographed by Cristina Hoyos.
Gemma formed her own flamenco company 'Esencia Flamenca' where she was the director, choreographer and soloist dancer.
She was also involved in the recording of the music for ‘The Mask of Zorro’ starring Antonio Banderas. She has appeared on TV many times and she also collaborated in many musical videos.
Currently, she combines her dancing with her teaching. She has taught many classes, workshops and courses all over the world (Spain, United Kingdom, Japan, Venezuela, Greece, Italy, Belgium). She is an extremely experience and talented teacher.

I will then send you an email to confirm if there is a place. Priority will be given to people who book for a whole level. If there is a place available, I will then ask you to pay a deposit of 50 pounds.

You can then book your flight and accommodation.

You can pay the rest of the money on the first day of the course in Madrid.

If you need to cancel before 1st April, I will return your deposit. After 1st April, I cannot return your deposit unless you can find a person to take your place.
