Flamenco from Valencia, with Sergio García and Noelia Jiménez - Lancaster

Espíritu Flamenco presents traditional flamenco from the heart of Andalucía. This unique and highly expressive art is based around traditional flamenco song forms (cante), with accompaniment (guitar and percussion) and dancer.
Bringing a taste of southern Spain, the singer, Noelia Jiménez is based in Valencia and brings some of her own songs as well as other styles from the region. The guitarist, Sergio García is also living in Valencia, where he studied flamenco guitar and is from a flamenco family originally from Córdoba. Noelia and Sergio perform together regularly and are visiting the UK for one weekend. They are joined by Manchester-based dancer, Sarah Chambers who has studied in Jerez, Cadiz and Granada and worked with Sergio over a year while he was based in the UK in 2019. They bring a fun and varied programme presenting a range of flamenco styles and will introduce the music, explaining a little about it.
