GRAMMY®-Nominated Christian Hip-Hop Artist FLAME to Perform at Messiah Lutheran Church in Support of Students in Uganda
PLANO, Texas — Messiah Lutheran Church will welcome GRAMMY®-nominated and Stellar Award-winning Christian hip-hop artist FLAME for a special benefit concert on Saturday, August 8, at 7:00 PM in the church’s Celebration Hall, located at 1801 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, TX 75075.
More than a night of music, the concert will raise support for students attending school in Uganda through a partnership with Grace Uganda, a nonprofit organization that works directly with the Lutheran Church of Uganda to meet educational and community needs.
FLAME is a respected leader in Christian hip-hop whose career includes a GRAMMY® nomination, multiple Dove and Stellar Award nominations, a Stellar Award win, and several Billboard chart-topping releases. Born and raised in inner-city St. Louis, Missouri, he has released numerous projects, including Captured, The 6th, Royal Flush, Forward, the Stellar Award-winning God Knows, Extra Nos EP, DayBreak EP, and Christ For You EP.
For more than a decade, FLAME has performed throughout North America, the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, and Asia. Along with touring, writing, recording, and co-producing his music, he founded Clear Sight Music, a record label committed to advancing thoughtful, Christ-centered hip-hop. FLAME also holds a master’s degree in theology with a minor in counseling.
Guests will enjoy an energetic evening of music while helping provide students in Uganda with access to education and greater opportunities for the future.
