AAA is proud to be hosting the second FLAME event for 2026 with a focus on architecture. We will be hearing from three high profile business women who work within the apartment sector.
Helen Kuo – Partner FKA
With more than 20 years of local and international experience, Helen is widely recognised as a leader in the living sector. Her portfolio includes build-to-rent developments at 81–83 George Street and 89–91 George Street, Parramatta; 8–10 McLean Street, Edgecliff; and mixed-use precincts such as Stanmore Village, currently in concept design. She is also leading FK’s student accommodation project for The Living Company at the Blackwattle Bay precinct.
Helen serves on the Government Architect NSW State Design Review Panel and contributes to policy development as a Committee Member of the Property Council of Australia, strengthening FK’s influence in design excellence across New South Wales.
Dr Elizabeth Farrelly
An award-winning writer, columnist, critic, academic, broadcaster, public intellectual and former political candidate. Dr Elizabeth Farrelly is trained in architecture and philosophy.
She is a former City of Sydney Councillor, former Director of the National Trust NSW, occasional academic and author of several books including Bubberland; the Dangers of Happiness and Killing Sydney; the fight for a city’s soul (2021). She is currently presenter of The Sydneyist on Eastside Radio and columnist for ArchitectureAU and for The Saturday Paper.
Lucy Brown – Senior Associate Unispace
An experienced design leader with over a decade of experience across the UK, Europe, Australia and the Middle East, innovating industry leading strategic solutions to complex design problems. Lucy holds a broad market sector insight across Workplace, Multi-Residential, Hospitality and Mixed-Use precinct projects, and a proven track record delivering for major Fortune 500 and global framework clients.
