Come join host Daniel G. Van Olst at an open studio for all to flag, fan and flow at Theater Flamenco - from 7-9pm.
There will be one-on-one instruction to music for anyone who is interested (or you can just flag if you don't want instruction). Flags will be available for use. All levels are welcome!! This will be a chance to practice and share what you know in a safe environment to learn, with flag-friendly music and black lights.
The location is the Theater Flamenco (https://www.theatreflamenco.org/home). It is at 670 South Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco – between 17th and 18th. There is a $10 suggested donation to cover the cost of the studio rental.

A word about Theater Flamenco
Please bear with us and read this bit about our home at Theater Flamenco, and what we are asking all of you to do to support us.
Theater Flamenco is in its 53rd season and a true, vibrant part of SF history and community. We would encourage you to learn more about them at https://www.theatreflamenco.org/home.
It was difficult to find this space - many spaces have closed, and many remaining ones are quite full. We also have somewhat unique requirements - mirrors and a dark space are desirable.
Theater Flamenco has these things, and so we would ask you to help us abide by these rules, and also gently educate other participants, so as to maintain good relations with Theater Flamenco.
COSTUMES: In a tremendous show of trust, many of Theater Flamenco's costumes are actually on display in the space. Please do not touch, and please admire from 3 feet away. The costumes were created by an artist who has recently passed, and are literally irreplaceable (as well as stunning!)
WATER ONLY: Due to the costumes (see above), absolutely no food in the studio and no liquids other than water. We generally have free bottled water.
CEILING: One downside is that the ceiling is just a bit lower than we would like. Please keep awareness of the ceiling, don't play your flags all the way out when pinwheeling, and try to choose a spot without a pipe overhead.
