The Great Lakes Bay Veterans Coalition (GLBVC) teaches flag etiquette to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students in local schools in the following school systems:
 Bay City School District
 Bullock Creek School District
 Freeland Community School District
 Meridian Public School District
 Midland Public School District
Our class will teach students the following.
 The Pledge of Allegiance
 History of the Flag
 The American Flag and Michigan
 Respect for the Flag
In addition to the class, the GLBVC, in partnership with Pizza Sam’s, hosts an art contest. All students in the classes we teach are eligible to participate. We will choose one drawing from each session to receive a gift certificate to Pizza Sam’s. We will pick up the completed artwork when we teach the class and have the results/winners back to you in about 30 days."
