Our justly famous and fabulous summer festival, Fladbury Walkabout, is coming back in 2024, and we’re on track to bring you a weekend that’s better than ever. We’ll have so many of your favourite attractions to keep you interested and amused, and we’re working on finding even more entertainment for the whole family over Saturday and Sunday, 6 & 7 July 2024.*Flower Festival:* this is always at the heart of Fladbury Walkabout and this year’s will be no exception, with stunning displays to stimulate the mind as well as delight the eye.
*Open Gardens:* Fladbury is bursting with beautiful gardens, from the large to the small, from immaculate to relaxed, so you’re sure to find a garden to interest you, and our gardeners are always delighted to meet and talk to our visitors to share tips, knowledge … and maybe just a hint of gossip!
*Live Music:* we’ll have a variety of musicians and dancers booked to play on the village green, so you’ll always be sure of entertainment throughout the day.
*Market Stalls:* crafts and plants, food and happy finds: we’ll have a range of market stalls in the centre of the village aiming to cater for all shopping and browsing tastes.
*River Avon:* the cabin cruiser and steam boat rides on the water throughout each day are always popular so that visitors can enjoy the beauty of the village and the countryside from the comfort of a pleasure cruiser, plus there’s the wire ferry from the village across to the picturesque Cropthorne Mill.
*Bell Tower Tours:* every wondered how church bells are rung and what it all looks like from the inside? Τhis year could be your chance to find out with timed tours of the bell tower of Fladbury Church hosted by the bellringing band to talk you through the tradition and answer your questions.
*Wire Ferry to Cropthorne Mill:* you can enjoy the Avon from a different perspective as you drift serenely across on the wire ferry to Cropthorne Mill, from where you can enjoy a walk alongside the Avon.
*Food and Drink:* with two pubs and lunches and refreshments in the Village Hall, you’ll be sure not to go hungry or thirsty as you enjoy Fladbury Walkabout.
*Fun Run:* this 3km run for all ages around the village at on the Sunday of Fladbury Walkabout is always popular … and you can make it as relaxed or as competitive as you want!
