Get ready for an unforgettable evening of dance, culture, music, food, and celebration! Fiyah Friday returns on Friday, September 18, with an AfroKonpa dance class followed by Africanpearl’s Red & Black Birthday Gala.
Come early to learn the moves—then stay and party all night!
EVENT SCHEDULE
AFROKONPA DANCE CLASS
8:30 PM–10:00 PM
Join dance instructor Melaninma for an energetic, beginner-friendly AfroKonpa dance experience. Come learn how to move to the music, connect with the culture, and have fun—no dance partner or previous experience required!
Our dance program will feature a variety of African, Caribbean, and international dance styles throughout the monthly series, including:
• AfroKonpa
• Afrobeats
• Soca
• Salsa
• Amapiano
• Bachata
• Ndombolo
• Kizomba
• Afro-Caribbean dance
• African drumming
• And more!
Each class will focus on one featured dance style.
Everyone attending the dance class will receive FREE waistbeads!
THE PARTY CONTINUES
10:30 PM–2:00 AM
After the dance class, the night turns into Fiyah Friday—an elegant, grown-and-sexy celebration featuring Afrobeats, reggae, R&B, 2000s throwback favorites, oldies but goodies, and more!
