Five Trips to the Ukrainian Border

Hear firsthand about his experiences driving to the Ukrainian border and how this experience impacted him, as well as changed the direction of his life.

Dan Kostka was in Slovakia with his wife and two small children last February, staying with his wife’s family for a few months, when Russia invaded Ukraine. He was working remotely for a Calgary law firm at the time. He felt compelled to take action to help the Ukrainian refugees that were flooding into Slovakia and other neighbouring countries.

In today’s presentation, Dan will show you photos from the five trips he made to the Ukrainian border. He will explain why he did what he did, what he saw on those trips, and what the refugees told him about their experiences. As Dan will explain, his trips to the border gave him a deep sense of purpose and meaning.
