Five Cent Coffee
Dirty ukulele blues with howling vocals; sometimes a sad accordion wails, sometimes your toe taps to the twang of a banjo. Moody and candy-like, we write songs that cast you back into another time. We are inspired by sounds as diverse as the clang and thump of old jug and skiffle bands and early 20th c. American music to Kurt Weill and Lotte Lenya to Tom Waits, Nick Cave, and the Tiger Lillies.
Three Drink Circus
We’re a trio from Oakland, CA, playing ukulele, accordion, washboard, sometimes with a musical saw or junk percussion thrown in. We hit both salty and sweet, telling terrible stories in spellbinding ways.
