FIU Music Festival 2024: All Stars Jazz Featuring Alfredo Chacon

Join us for an electrifying All Stars Jazz Evening at the FIU Music Festival, featuring FIU’s own Latin Jazz Ensemble, directed by Michael Eckroth, and the FIU Jazz Big Band, led by our new faculty member and accomplished saxophonist, Aldo Salvent.

This thrilling performance will spotlight special guest artist, Cuban American composer and vibraphone virtuoso Alfredo Chacón, whose fresh, happy, and energetic music brings a unique blend of Latin and Cuban jazz. Emerging as one of the most prominent voices in Latin jazz, Chacón’s technical mastery and deep musical understanding make him a standout performer on the global jazz scene.
