FIU Jazz Vocal Ensemble presents Big Band, Blues, and Beyond

Join us for an unforgettable evening of cabaret featuring the sensational FIU Jazz Vocal Ensemble, directed by the Dr. Lisanne Lyons. This highly acclaimed group consists of twelve to fifteen talented vocalists and a dynamic four-piece rhythm section, performing a diverse and challenging repertoire of jazz, jazz-influenced music, contemporary, Latin, and a cappella styles.

Celebrate the Downbeat award-winning talent of our ensemble and recognized as the first group to represent FIU at the Jazz Education Network Conference in January 2023. The FIU Jazz Vocal Ensemble is known for its close harmonies, impressive improvisations, and cutting-edge repertoire, including new works by FIU faculty.
