Fitchburg Furnace History Lecture

Join the Estill Action Group for a day of local history and adventure! We’ll hear from local historian Skip Johnson as he shares the fascinating history of the Fitchburg Furnace, a remarkable old iron furnace right here in our area. After the lecture, we’ll head out for a small hike to Needmore Hollow and explore a little more of Estill County’s history and natural beauty. Come learn something new, get outside, and discover a piece of the incredible story that surrounds us!
After the history lesson with Skip all are welcome to join a soup bean supper with the Fitchburg Masonic Lodge #562
