Fishbowl #24: Cassie Beer

Join MKM architecture + design for a conversation with Cassie Beer, Women's Fund Director at the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne.

The Fishbowl is MKM's signature community event — an afternoon where we shut down the office, set up chairs, pour some wine, and sit down with someone interesting to talk about what they do, why they do it, and what keeps them up at night.

This June, we're exploring women's philanthropy, community investment, and the power of collective giving with Cassie Beer.

About Cassie:

Cassie Beer is the founding director of the Women's Fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne — where she's building something from scratch: a philanthropic movement focused on women and girls in Northeast Indiana. She's equal parts advocate, researcher, and changemaker, with a track record that earned her recognition as a 2023 Fort Wayne Magazine Person of the Year. When she's not leading the Women's Fund or serving on the WindSwell Foundation board, you'll find her running with the 5:05am club, performing with The Trainhoppers, or hiking local trails with her family.

What to Expect:

The format is conversational, not lecture-based. Our moderator will lead a one-hour interview with Cassie, followed by open Q&A where attendees can ask their own questions. Topics range broadly — from healthcare and housing to the arts, technology, and community development — but all center on innovations in community health and well-being.

Schedule:

• 2:45 PM — Doors open, light refreshments & networking
• 3:15 PM — Moderated conversation begins
• 4:15 PM — Open Q&A with attendees
• 5:00 PM — Event ends

Light refreshments and beverages will be provided. Seating is limited to create an engaging, personal atmosphere.
