About this Event

As the national debt continues to grow and fiscal pressures mount, policymakers face difficult choices about the nation's economic future. This event will examine the economic and political dimensions of federal deficits and debt, exploring the forces driving fiscal imbalances, the tradeoffs involved in addressing them, and the critical role Congress plays in shaping fiscal policy.

Participants will include Michael Lenox, Miller Center senior fellow; Maya MacGuineas, president, Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget; and David Wilcox, senior fellow, Peterson Institute for International Economics.
