Audell Shelburne has been writing poems most of his life and started publishing them about twenty years ago in various anthologies and journals. He finds writing, reading, and publishing poems to be three very distinct things, each with its own rewards. He will be reading a selection of poems on life and love.He continues work on a book-length manuscript. He published one of his poems in the UK and recently won the Woody Barlow Poetry Prize, meaning he can claim (with only slight exaggeration) to be an award-winning, internationally published poet. Audell currently serves as dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Northeastern State University. He enjoys cooking, spending time with his wife, playing with his kids, and dabbling in watercolor in his spare time.
