The Chancel Choir sings each Sunday for the worship service at the First United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas and performs major works with orchestra annually. All of the singers are volunteer. They have toured to England, Scotland, Canada, Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy, France, and Switzerland giving concerts in such hallowed spaces as St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna, St. Nicholas Church in Old Town Prague, and Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. The Chancel Choir was honored to sing for the national convention of the American Choral Directors Association in 2013. The singers you will hear today are representative of the more than 80 voices in the Chancel Choir.
Le Chancel Choir chante chaque dimanche lors de l’office à la First United Methodist Church de Dallas, au Texas, et interprète chaque année des œuvres majeures avec orchestre. Tous les chanteurs sont bénévoles. Ils ont effectué des tournées en Angleterre, en Écosse, au Canada, en Autriche, en République tchèque, en Italie, en France et en Suisse, donnant des concerts dans des lieux prestigieux tels que la cathédrale Saint-Paul de Londres, la basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal, la cathédrale Saint-Étienne de Vienne, l’église Saint-Nicolas dans la vieille ville de Prague et la cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris. Le Chancel Choir a eu l’honneur de chanter lors du congrès national de l’American Choral Directors Association en 2013. Les chanteurs que vous entendrez aujourd’hui sont représentatifs des plus de 80 voix qui composent le Chancel Choir.
