First-Time Callers *ONLY*: Trash People of Logan Square Community Clean-Up!

This is a community clean-up event for anyone who hasn't joined us before! You'll be new but so will everyone else!
About this Event

If you've been wanting to join one of our clean-ups but haven't managed to snag a spot, have been nervous about doing something new, or have perhaps been too busy - well, you're out of excuses! This clean-up is exclusively for anyone who hasn't been to one of our events before! We'll have coffee and cookies courtesy of Same Day cafe, so you'll get some caffiene and sustenance, get the chance to meet other new Trash People, learn about everything we do as an organization, and (hopefully) have an enjoyable and productive outing picking up LITTER! Just sign up already!

What to expect:

• Meet us at 9:00 AM outside of Same Day - please arrive on time to help us run a smooth event! We'll start the morning with coffee and cookies, so you can chitchat with everyone before we get started! We will get down to business at 9.30am. Please note advanced registration is essential due to the number of interested participants - please don't just show up!

• Everyone is welcome, and we hope you'll join us, especially if you haven't been before! We are a friendly bunch and exist not only to contribute to our community, but to make new friends within it, too :)

What to bring

• Please check the weather and bring appropriate clothing/supplies - specifically you may like to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and hand sanitizer. Be sure to wear comfortable and weather-appropriate shoes.

• No need to bring anything else - we supply all equipment (bags, gloves, grabbers, etc.)

• If you want to bring a friend, please also have them register via the Eventbrite link so we can plan accordingly - we also need all attendees to acknowledge our waiver.

What not to bring

• We love pets, but you'll need both hands, and we'll be working near busy streets! We regret dogs aren't allowed to join Trash People events, but you're very welcome to show us pictures :)

• We mostly work near busy roads, so for safety reasons, our events are adult-only (18+).

• If the event is fully booked, please add yourself to the waitlist or join us for the next one! In order to keep the group manageable for us as organizers, to ensure we have enough supplies, and to ensure all participants have signed our waiver, we require all attendees to have formally RSVPd through Eventbrite.
