First Saturday Cars and Coffee

Hello FSCC Folks,
How about starting our July 4 celebration at the First Saturday Cars & Coffee (FSCC) gathering! Yes, we will be at our
regular location, the Bluegrass Stockyards Regional Marketplace located at 4561 Iron Works Pike, Lexington, KY 40511. We will meet at the regular time of 9-11am. As usual, thanks to our sponsors there will be no fee for attending our family friendly event. Our sponsors will be providing the first 50 cups of coffee and donuts free at our new regular location inside the Marketplace. We will gather in the “Classroom” which is located at the North end from the South entrance hall, just past the restaurant on the left side. There are several tables and chairs inside the classroom. Many thanks to our continuing sponsors, Wildcat Moving, and MotorVaultKY for making our gatherings possible. Also, thanks to the Blue Grass Stockyards/Marketplace for providing our regular venue. Please remember out of respect for our sponsors and the other attendees, we do not need speed shots or donuts on the asphalt. The event is hosted by Cadre Prime LLC. Note that this is a rain or sunshine event.
So, what happened at our June 6 gathering? Despite several other area events such as graduation ceremonies and the ever-popular Railbirds, at 450 vehicles we had probably our largest FSCC gathering. The weather was great and folks wanted to sport their favorite rides! Check out facebook for the 123 photos. You might see your vehicle there!
Also, on June 19 at the Maserati Mingle, we filled the street with 60 really great automotive displays! Several of the folks I’ve talked to thought the Mingle was only for Maserati vehicles. Actually, there were several grouped displays. The Classic display had vehicles starting with a 1939 Packard through several very cool 50’s and 60’s muscle cars and super sharp Plymouth Prowler and Dodge Viper. The Sports display ranged from Alfa Romeo to very rare TVR. If you’ve never seen a TVR you are missing a treat. There were whole grouping of Corvettes, Porsches, and Maserati. The Exotic grouping was very nice with Ferrari ranging from a 308 GTS QV to two 812s, not to mention the 1973 Dino. Major attention was given to the Luxury Maybach 62 which was complimented by a Mercedes AMG GT 63S E Performance. It was a great opportunity for the public to meet with the owners and learn about these very, very neat vehicles at the event. Thanks to Maserati of Cincinnati for sponsoring this annual event. It was a promotional event to raise awareness for the 2026 Keeneland Concours d’Elegance. As with all Keeneland events, proceeds go to the UK Golisano Children’s Hospital.
A final reminder, the Keeneland Concours is on Saturday, July 18. Now is the time for car clubs to prepare for attending the Car Club Paddock area. Come on out and enjoy the paddock with 500 of your closest car friends. Check with your club to ensure they have their paddock space reserved. If there is no space designated yet, have your club contact get with me at [email protected]. Parking in the paddock is $10 per car in addition to your entry ticket per person.
This year’s concurs feature mark is Ferrari. Twenty other classes include Studebaker, Drag Racers, Motorcycles, American Collector. Future Classics, Military, Carriages, and others. Lots of eye candy!!
If you are interested in volunteering to help at the concours, you can sign up at https://keenelandconcours.com/volunteer-sign-up/. Volunteering at the concours is a great way to enjoy this outstanding event. You will meet lots of neat folks and help a super charity (UK Golisano Children’s Hospital).
Note that If you have car event items you would like to share, feel free to do it at a FSCC gathering or on the FSCC facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/264105264537999/. Our next FSCC events will be on August 1 and September 5.
Come on out and play in the ‘Yard’.
