Join Local History on Wednesday, April 23 from 7-8 p.m. at the 2nd Floor windows area for a reception and presentation to open the First Responders of Oak Lawn exhibit. Light refreshments will be served. Local History Librarian Tom Javorcic will show slides and discuss the exhibit, how it came about, and answer questions about the celebration of 100 years of Firefighting and Police history in the village of Oak Lawn. The exhibit will remain up through all of 2025. Related programs for kids and adults will be scheduled and announced throughout the year.
