Our first get together of the new session.
In the year 750 several contemporary annals tell us that a major Pictish warband, led by Talorcan the brother of the then High King of the Picts, came to a sticky end at Mugdock at the hands of the Britons of Alt Clut (later Strathclyde). In this talk, based on detailed examination of routes places and motives, we track the course of this campaign which was regarded, by contemporaries, as being of a high order of significance.
