Delight in the latest SCAD FASH exhibition at the opening reception for Entering Modernity: 1920s Fashion from the Parodi Costume Collection.
The dawn of modernity in fashion after the turn of the 20th century is a story of the quest to represent a new sense of self. In Entering Modernity, curated exclusively from the Parodi Costume Collection, viewers are immersed in works by era-defining designers such as Paul Poiret, Madeleine Vionnet, Jeanne Lanvin, and Jean Patou, who embodied the decade’s ethos of experimentation and convention-defying artistry.
Shimmy into the galleries in your best 1920s-inspired looks as you witness glittering garments from the Jazz Age.
This event is free for SCAD Card holders and museum members and open to the public with the cost of admission.
