First Fridays Opening Night for Cassandra Author
About this Event
Cassandra Author is an in-person art show for the local community.
Love Letters
Featuring watercolor, oil paint, and ceramics, Love Letters celebrates the beauty of the mundane, small acts of service, and love in a household. The show explores learning to live life with one another: two people weaving their lives together and beginning to build a home.
Dirty dishes that show abundance, laundry folded with care, art on the fridge, messy beds, worn chairs and couches, embraces, dancing, and time spent together all hold beauty when we take the time to notice. Small acts of service may not be for glory, but they mean something. This work reflects the process of learning, failing, growing, trusting, loving, and serving—and, as Cassandra puts it, “worship rising like sweet incense to the Lord God Almighty.” She hopes you enjoy her love letters.
