In May, Arts Visalia invites one and all to come out and experience the talents of our diverse community. The WE Art Project brings together an array of artists sharing their stories and culture through the arts, a multicultural celebration of who WE Art. This celebration throughout the month of May highlights varied cultural influences of our community through the arts. Five visual artists, Buddy Jones, Jess Wyatt III, Paula Massey, Howard Stroman, and James Banks, are on display in the gallery May 3rd to 27th, Wednesdays through Saturday Noon – 5:30 p.m. Special presentations, including vocalists, dancers, spoken word, drumming, artists’ stories, and more, are happening at the First Friday reception on May 5th, 5:30-7:30 p.m., and Saturdays, May 13th, 20th, and 27th, 2:00-4:00 p.m. See www.artsvisalia.org for updated information on WE Art Project events.
