You're invited to Cottonwood's First Friday Masquerade Ball.After two years of wearing the not so fun mask, it is time to come together and celebrate in style.
To prepare for the ball join us September 23, 2022 at 6pm for a mask workshop in our NSR Gallery.
Cottonwood Center for the Arts is proud to present a juried exhibition for the month of October, composed of artists from across the Pikes Peak region and beyond.
“Facade” asks creatives for their interpretation of a self portrait. Works span across all mediums, from music to painting, writing, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and everything in between and beyond.
We live in the era of the selfie and its many filtered manifestations in a culture saturated with social media.
What nuances, subtle or glaring, differentiate a fine art self portrait from a casual shot shared for friends and followers? Perhaps intention and content, the time and talent it takes to create an art piece, separates the acts - or possibly nothing at all beyond the medium used.
Enjoy two floors of open studios + galleries this First Friday from 5-8pm, and all month during normal business hours.
