On June 5th, from 6-9 pm, join us for First Friday! Enjoy these openings:
In the Harrison Gallery, Vestige by Eric Lubrick. This show features over 90 photographs and a multimedia inflatable sculpture inspired by 17th-century Dutch still lifes and contemporary artists like Wayne Thiebaud and Harold Edgerton. Through four series, Lubrick explores technology, miscommunication, and their impact on modern relationships and connection.
In the Gallery Annex, Color and Flow by Bekah Pollard. Pollard combines site-responsive textile installations and acrylic paintings that explore touch, movement, and presence. Her hand-tufted textile works invite viewers to engage physically with the surfaces, and the paintings reflect the artist’s process through expressive gesture and color.
In the Speck Gallery, APPARITIONS by Erik Thien. In a series of acrylic and aerosol paintings on canvas, Thien explores memory, imagination, and the unseen forces that shape our lives. Layered figures and abstract forms emerge across the surfaces, reflecting themes of endurance, loss, and hidden realities while encouraging viewers to discover their own interpretations.
In the City Gallery, My Blue Wave by Joel Atkinson. Through the lens of “imperfect” cyanotypes and photographic collage, Atkinson’s work delves into melancholic memories of Indianapolis. It captures the city's essence, blending the tangible and the ethereal in a thought-provoking visual narrative.
In the Hank & Dolly’s Gallery, Sitting, waiting, watching, dreaming by Brittany Murray. This series of acrylic paintings on canvas explores daydreaming through bright colors and exaggeration. Inspired by quiet moments spent in a yard of dandelions watching storm clouds roll in and pass, each piece captures a soft sense of wonder and imagination.
In the Underground Gallery, Momentos by Hector Del Campo. This exhibition of mixed media works investigates personal moments of life and memory. These paintings take on the multiple aspects of being a Cuban American child in a world that differs from mî casa. By bringing together moments and memories that resonate and create a connecting point to his viewers.
In the Sky Gallery, IMMERSION by Jason Zickler. In his large-scale epoxy resin and acrylic paintings, Jason Zickler layers saturated neon color beneath glass-like resin, an invitation to step inside the surface. Exploring tension between control and spontaneity, these works transform painting from an object to observe into an atmosphere to experience.

Guests can also enjoy:
In the Courtyard, interact with our friends from the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site with a mini version of their annual Wicket World of Croquet.
On the Sky Deck, enjoy live music by Indiana native artist and musician Kenn.wav, celebrated for his work in gospel, soul, R&B, and electronic music. Sponsored by Indy Arts Council Art & Soul.
In the Historic Gymnasium, witness an evening night of fast-paced roller derby! Since 2006, Naptown Roller Derby has been Indy’s home for inclusivity, competition, and community.
Hungry? Grab a bite across the courtyard from the 3 Maria’s food truck.

All shows will open at 6:00 pm on Friday, June 5th, 2026.
