Join us for Ashland in Motion's kickoff to Summer in The District Friday, May 6th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Shop local as we encourage our downtown shops to stay open late and invite small businesses with no brick and mortar store to participate as vendors. First Friday offers a safe, family friendly event downtown on the first Friday of each month from May to October. Spend your Summer celebrating all that makes Ashland, KY stand out as a place to appreciate art across all genres. From music on Broadway Square to handcrafted items being sold, there is something for everyone to appreciate at First Friday.

In-person registration.
Show participants must enter and exit the venue via Greenup Avenue and 17th Street. Please keep in mind this is a pedestrian friendly event when moving your vehicles.
Parking is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. We will do our best to accommodate all individuals who wish to participate.
Local vendors - Small Ashland-based businesses who have a City of Ashland business license can set up their own tables for a fee of $25 per First Friday event. You must contact Ashland in Motion prior to each event to show proof of licensure, pay your fee and find out where to set up.
