Join us on First Friday at Westobou Gallery for an evening of art, food, and fun! We will have wine, a few brews from Savannah River Brewery and delicious food from The Crazy Empanada!The Subversive Thread: (June 7-August 3)
The Subversive Thread presents the work of artists that disrupt the traditional mediums of fiber and thread. Han Cao, Jennifer McBrien, Michael-Birch Pierce and Stacey Lee Webber elevate their craft by using unconventional textiles and techniques to recontextualize the medium not only in concept, but also by design.
Common Thread (July 5-August 3)
In the MICRO gallery we will have works by Atlanta-based artists Amanda Britton and Johanna Norry.
By erasing the lines between the different parts of ourselves and the works, artists Amanda Britton and Johanna Norry desire the viewer to observe their exhibition as colorful and harmonious, sharing a common thread and offering new meaning, memories, and narratives.
