Join us on First Friday at Westobou Gallery for an evening of art, food, and fun!Come see the opening of the Congressional Art Competition in the Main Gallery. Cast your ballot on First Friday, May 3 then join us on May 4 for an awards reception from 3-4 p.m. Also check out the opening of Proof of Existence by Brigid Lowery in the MICRO gallery. We will have beer from Savannah River Brewery and delicious food from Crazy Empanada!
Congressional Art Competition
Works by High School Students from GA’s 12th District

Every year, members of the U.S. House of Representatives sponsor a nation-wide arts competition open to all high school students. The winning piece in each district will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol, and the student artists will be invited to attend the national winners' reception in Washington D.C. Westobou Gallery hosts the work by students from Georgia’s 12th District.
Cast your ballot on First Friday, May 3 then join us on May 4 for an awards reception from 3-4 p.m.

Westobou’s spring intern from Augusta University showcases her work in our MICRO Gallery. Brigid Lowery’s deep interest in medical illustration inspires her to capture the likeness people through their body gestures and facial expressions while challenging herself with proportions and anatomy.
